About
A one-person shop,
leveraged by modern tools.
Mika Automation is a solo practice. No account managers, no junior contractors, no "resource allocation." You talk to the person building the thing.
Drew Mika
Founder · Mika Automation LLC
I'm a full-stack developer by trade with years of experience building software for real businesses. I started Mika Automation because I kept seeing the same thing in the small companies I'd worked with: owners buried under admin work that a computer should be doing.
So I built a practice around solving exactly that. The engagements are small, the scope is honest, and the deliverables are measurable. No retainers you can't cancel. No "digital transformation" consulting. Just: what's eating your week, and can we stop it?
What I believe
The things I'll hold to.
Small businesses deserve serious tooling.
The same automations that Fortune 500s pay consultancies six figures for can now be built by one person in a week. The price gap was always overhead — not value.
The bottleneck is rarely the work.
Most owners I talk to aren't short on customers or ideas. They're short on time. Automation is just a lever for returning hours to the people who should be spending them on the business.
AI is a power tool, not a gimmick.
I use LLMs heavily in the build process — it's what lets a solo operation deliver at the speed of a small agency. I'll be upfront about where they help and where they don't.
Simple beats clever.
A spreadsheet that works beats a custom app that doesn't. I'll always pick the lightest solution that solves the problem.
